ART x Food Justice Series
Created by artist kumari giles, the ART x Food Justice Series brings folks together over food, dialogue and artistic activations. Gatherings are rooted in the medicine of sharing a meal that honours local produce and our connection to land. Bringing together food justice, collective care, storytelling, and community arts, this series uplifts QTBIPOC ways of knowing and being.
Meals are crafted by the artist featuring seasonal produce while catering to top 10 allergies and common dietary needs. Menu details are curated thematically alongside artist activations.

August 2023 / Harvest Gathering – Dinner and Dreaming
Inspired by Octavia Butler’s Parables and movements towards an inch-wide and mile-deep vs. a mile-wide and inch-deep inquiry.
