Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct
Everyone who takes part in programs, meetings, projects or other activities organized by the Laboratory for Artistic Intelligence are asked to abide by the following code of conduct.
- Communicate with care, kindness and consideration to help maintain a generative, inclusive, harassment-free environment for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body shape, race, age, religion or technical skill level.
- If you require accommodation, please inform a staff member at your earliest convenience with the details of your needs so we may do everything we can to assist.
- Ask or approach one of us if you’re uncertain about anything. If something seems unusual, unfamiliar or uncomfortable for you, it probably is for others too. If something seems wonderful and still you feel unsure about a detail or something, please ask us.
- Your participation is up to you. Conversation and creative explorations may sometimes bring up sensitive or treasured subjects, memories or moments. Everyday, it is up to you to decide how you would like to participate, respond or share at any time.
- People’s stories and personal information belong to them. Thus their consent is required if one is interested in using or re-circulating their story or details.
- Recordings may sometimes be made – be it for documentation, research, note-taking, promotional or reporting purposes. Consent from all participants is required before any recordings are made. Participants may withdraw their consent at any time.
- Personal recordings are not permitted for any reason without the knowledge and consent of fellow participants and the activity / program / project / meeting organizers.
- If you notice something that you’d like to suggest adding to the Code of Conduct temporarily (for the duration of the project / program / meeting / activity) or forever, please let us know. This is a living document.
By signing below, you are indicating that you understand and agree to this Code of Conduct.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please send an email to your staff contact, and/or helen@artisticintelligence.com.
