Khush Parekh
Newcomers
Khush Parekh first worked with the Lab in 2017 as a research intern. Other past experience includes supporting the deployment of market research studies at Tellwut Corp, and working as a Market Research Analyst for NeuroTechX, where he helped them develop the world’s first database of neuroscientific research labs from all across Canada. Khush received a Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science from York University, a post-graduate certificate in Research Analysis from Humber College, and a Masters of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University. He was previously Vice-President of the Hindi Students Association, a volunteer with Friends of Syria, and Tutorial Facilitator at York University. His academic research on “Post-secondary mental health services” was displayed at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health’s student-led conference, Pushing The Paradigm: Broadening our Understanding of Mental Health (2019).
Presently, Khush volunteers with SEWA Canada, helping international students in Canada with basic needs during the COVID19 pandemic. He believes his superpower is to connect the right people to the right resources.
For the Lab, Khush specializes in research related to new immigrants.
