Sudeshna is a social science research and development professional. She has a PhD in Population and Social Geography with expertise in public health, gender, livelihoods and labour dynamics, urbanization and urban sociology, children, adolescents and youth development, aging, marginalization and inequality, protection and safeguarding.
Sudeshna has over a decade of experience in research and consulting, specializing in government and non-profit organisations, and managing numerous multi-stakeholder research projects. Proficient at designing research methodologies, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, policy analysis, Sudeshna is equally skilled in research dissemination. A critical thinker, avid reader and a prolific writer, Sudeshna is proud of her publications in prominent peer-reviewed academic journals, books and digital platforms. Sudeshna has mentored many students and research interns, as well as taught undergraduate students as an Assistant Professor, and engages herself as a reviewer for many reputed publications.
