Reimagining an Institution: Dancemakers and Beyond
At the end of 2021, the Board of Directors for Dancemakers engaged the Laboratory for Artistic Intelligence to help shape organizational change and transformation through a series of creative research residencies led by diverse artists. This report names 10 guiding principles for Dancemakers and identifies sector-specific and institutional challenges that include but also go beyond Dancemakers. The appendix includes a slide deck that summarizes research pathways and the public research events that were held in July 2023.

Accelerating Pathways into Film/TV: Microcredentials for Newcomers
Commissioned by Seneca College in 2022, this report by Laboratory for Artistic Intelligence examines the case for accelerating new immigrants, refugees and international students with film/tv know-how to join the screen-based industry in Ontario. A compact document that looks at survey data, labour gaps, immigration policy, and stakeholder interviews to present the case for investment in targeted, applied, career-bridging training.

Saagajiwe - Creative Native Project - 2020-2021 Program Book
A program book on the Creative Native Project featuring video stills and synopses of short films created by Indigenous youth. Gathering, learning and working virtually, these talented young artists were inspired and encouraged by Indigenous artists Buffy Sainte-Marie and Lila Pine, with weekly mentorship by professional Indigenous and culturally diverse artists.

Thinking Forward On Immigration
A proposal for the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) update its policies and processes to modernize immigration requirements to correspond with contemporary realities. We need to complete a "half-made" immigration system by building out infrastructure and pathways needed for Canada to benefit from, and take care of, the professionals we've attracted to our country. We need to apply a human-centred approach to re-map and re-imagine the immigration process, and we need to eliminate the bottlenecking of talent that is detrimental to Canada's post-pandemic economic recovery and growth.
